Leana Romero is a Central American, SoCal-born animator and graphic designer based in the greater Los Angeles area. She loves to geek out over other cultures, chase the elotero down the street, speak Spanglish, wiggle around like a worm with no rhythm, and hoard unnecessary photos of people’s pets on her phone. She also loves to watch cartoons, anime, and plays video games with her little brother, and is best described as a child at heart no matter how old she gets.
Originally inspired by Disney films, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon, Leana always found herself stating she wanted to make cartoons. As a 3D animation student at California State University, Northridge, she graduated with a BA and explored the world of renders, modeling, character animations, and animation principles. Years later, she found herself intrigued by the fields of graphic design that revitalized her love for animation through motion graphics. Soon to be graduate from College of the Canyons, Leana is exploring and establishing her work through a mix of animation, illustration, and graphic design with styles that intrigue her interests and help build a large skill set to her advantage.
